Dropped my new truck off for a oil change, was told it would be 45 minutes , so I waited on the bench in front of the the service office 2 hours later they still had my truck , it was at the 2 hr mark some salesman asked if I knew what was going on with my truck I told him no , no one had come out at all to tell me anything , the mechanic had accidentally dropped the filter tool into the engine and couldn’t get it back out , that part was no big deal I ve dropped tools in my engine before and spent a long time trying to retrieve the tool , the part that bothered me was s that they let me sit outside for 1.15-1.5 hrs without out at all showing me the courtesy to tell me what was going on with my truck , my girlfriend had passed the dealership twice , I could of got a ride from her and accomplished a lot of things on my list that day in a 2 hr time span and came back for my truck the next morning if I would of known they were having issues, because once again I would of understood dropping a tool In the engine , poor customer service

I arranged an appointment on Monday April 30th for service on my vehicle. I had received a notice in the mail in regards to a recall for my 2005 Buick LaCrosse. The representative on the phone put me on hold to verify that the parts for the repair were on hand. When she returned she had me set up my appointment for 0730 on Thursday May 3rd. When I arrived at 0730 I handed the keys to the service writer and sat in the waiting room until 0900. At that time the service writer approached me and informed me that the part for my repair was not on hand and he was having it delivered for 1100. I left the premises and returned at 1100. I then sat in the waiting room until exactly 1200 when my repair was completed. This process that was supposed to take approximately a half hour consumed 4.5 hours of my time and it was due entirely to a failure to verify that the necessary parts were on hand. I was extremely disappointed with the service as I had heard excellent things about Payne Chevrolet and had chose to get my vehicle serviced there despite living 45 minutes away. I understand that logistical errors happen, but the fact that I arranged a service appointment 3 Days in advance and the part availability was checked at that time, yet it was not there on Thursday morning, is inexcusable. Minimal to no effort was made to acknowledge or apologize for my poor experience.
